Climate Sustainability & Global Systems (CSGS) invites expressions of interest from qualified scholars who wish to serve as Editorial Board Members.

CSGS is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of climate science, sustainability transitions, and global systems governance. The journal welcomes contributions related to climate systems and Earth system interactions, sustainability transitions, environmental data science and AI applications, global climate policy and systemic risk analysis, socio-ecological resilience and adaptation, and interdisciplinary methods and analytical frameworks.

We welcome applications from researchers with strong academic backgrounds in one or more of the following areas:

• Climate science and Earth systems
• Sustainability transitions and governance
• Global climate policy and systemic risk
• Environmental data science, AI, and modeling
• Climate-economy and socio-technical systems
• Socio-ecological resilience, adaptation, justice, and global development
• Interdisciplinary methods and analytical frameworks

Editorial Board Members are expected to support the journal by contributing to one or more of the following activities:

• Advising on the academic development and international outreach of the journal
• Recommending high-quality submissions and special issue topics
• Supporting peer review when manuscripts fall within their expertise
• Promoting ethical, rigorous, transparent, and globally relevant scholarship
• Helping strengthen the journal’s engagement with diverse research communities

Applicants should normally have:

• A doctoral degree or equivalent research experience in a relevant field
• A strong publication record in climate, sustainability, environmental systems, governance, policy, data science, or related interdisciplinary research
• Experience in peer review, editorial service, research leadership, or scholarly community engagement
• A commitment to publication ethics, academic integrity, and constructive peer review
