Following a post-publication editorial review, serious concerns were identified regarding the accuracy, traceability, and reliability of the article’s reference list and the evidentiary support for several statements in the manuscript. The concerns included inaccurate bibliographic metadata, DOI-to-title mismatches, incomplete or insufficient product-information citations, and inconsistencies between the reference list, the text, and the summary tables.
Because this article is a narrative review, the cited literature forms the foundation of the article’s conclusions. The extent and pattern of the identified issues affect the transparency, verifiability, and reliability of the scholarly record. After further editorial assessment, the Editorial Office determined that a post-publication correction would not be sufficient to resolve these concerns, as the necessary changes would require substantial reconstruction of the article’s evidence base rather than correction of discrete errors.
The authors acknowledged the concerns raised by the Editorial Office and requested an opportunity to correct the article. After careful consideration, the Editorial Office maintained the decision to retract the article.
