Article Processing Charges (APCs)
The International Review of Education and Learning Sciences (IRELS) is committed to transparency and fairness in its publishing practices. As an Open Access journal, we apply an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of publication and to ensure that articles are freely available to readers worldwide.
There are no charges for manuscript submission or peer review. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
What the APC Covers
The APC covers the costs associated with the professional editorial and publication process, including:
APC Adjustments
The APC amount may be reviewed and adjusted periodically in response to changes in global publishing costs. Any adjustment will be clearly announced on the journal website in advance. Adjustments will not affect manuscripts already under review or accepted.
Waivers and Reductions
Authors should wait for official payment instructions or an invoice after acceptance. The notice should identify the charge, currency, payment method and amount due. Questions about payment may be sent to [email protected].
Editorial assessment and publication decisions are independent of payment; the ability to pay does not determine whether a manuscript is accepted.
At present, IRELS does not operate a formal APC waiver or discount program. Any future waiver policies, if introduced, will be publicly stated on this page.
