Aims & Scope
Journal of Sport and Exercise Studies publishes interdisciplinary research on sport, exercise, physical activity, health, education, performance, behavior, and society.
Aims
Journal of Sport and Exercise Studies aims to provide an international academic platform for rigorous and responsible scholarship in the fields of sport, exercise, movement, physical activity, and human performance. The journal encourages research that advances theoretical understanding, empirical evidence, methodological development, and practical insight across sport and exercise-related disciplines.
The journal recognizes sport and exercise as multidimensional phenomena. They involve not only physiological performance and training adaptation, but also psychological experience, educational practice, health behavior, social organization, cultural meaning, policy design, and public well-being. For this reason, the journal welcomes submissions from sport science, exercise science, physical education, psychology, health studies, sociology, management, communication, and related fields.
The journal particularly values manuscripts that are conceptually clear, methodologically sound, ethically conducted, and relevant to current debates in sport and exercise studies. Both quantitative and qualitative studies are welcome, as are mixed-methods research, systematic reviews, theoretical papers, and carefully designed applied studies.
