No Embargo Policy

The journal does not apply an embargo period to published articles. Articles are openly available from the time of publication.

Authors may share and deposit their published articles immediately after publication, provided that the original publication in Journal of Sport and Exercise Studies is properly acknowledged.

Self-Archiving

Authors may deposit the submitted version, accepted version, and published version of record in institutional repositories, subject repositories, funder repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, and other lawful scholarly platforms.

When depositing or sharing the published version of record, authors should include the full citation details and a link to the article on the journal website where available.

Article Processing Charges

The journal applies an Article Processing Charge to accepted manuscripts, as described in the journal’s APC & Waiver Policy. No fee is charged at the time of initial submission.

Article Processing Charges do not influence editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated according to academic quality, relevance to the journal scope, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and contribution to sport and exercise studies.

Third-Party Materials

The CC BY 4.0 license normally applies to the article text and original materials created by the author(s), unless otherwise stated. Third-party materials included in an article may be subject to separate copyright restrictions or licensing terms.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use third-party materials where required. If third-party content is not covered by the article’s open-access license, this should be clearly indicated in the relevant caption, acknowledgement, or permission statement.

Long-Term Access and Preservation

The journal is committed to maintaining access to published scholarly content. Published articles are made available through the journal website and may be preserved, indexed, deposited, or archived through appropriate scholarly infrastructure, repositories, indexing services, and preservation arrangements.
