Call for Papers: Health Nexus: Digital Health and Medical AI Is Now Accepting Submissions

Health Nexus: Digital Health and Medical AI is pleased to announce that the journal is now accepting manuscript submissions for forthcoming issues.

The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for high-quality research at the intersection of medicine, healthcare, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence. We welcome submissions from researchers, clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and other scholars working across relevant fields.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in medicine
  • Clinical prediction models and decision-support systems
  • Digital health interventions and digital therapeutics
  • Medical imaging and AI-assisted diagnosis
  • Clinical informatics and health data science
  • Wearable technologies, biosensors, and remote monitoring
  • Digital biomarkers and precision medicine
  • Natural language processing and large language models in healthcare
  • AI-supported mental health and behavioral health applications
  • Reproductive health technologies and digital medicine
  • Ethics, governance, regulation, fairness, and responsible medical AI
  • Implementation, validation, reproducibility, and real-world evaluation of digital health technologies

All research manuscripts are evaluated in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and, where applicable, undergo double-anonymous peer review.

Publication schedule

The journal publishes two regular issues each year, normally around 15 June and 15 December. Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year.

  • 15 April — compilation cut-off for the June issue
  • 15 October — compilation cut-off for the December issue

These dates are not submission deadlines. Manuscripts that have not completed peer review, revision, acceptance, and production preparation before the relevant compilation cut-off will normally be scheduled for the next available issue.

Open Access

Health Nexus: Digital Health and Medical AI is a fully open-access journal. Published articles are made openly available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Article Processing Charge

An article processing charge of USD 400 applies only to manuscripts accepted for publication. There is no submission fee or peer-review fee. Waiver or discount requests are considered independently of editorial decisions.

Authors are encouraged to review the journal's Aims and Scope, Author Guidelines, Peer Review Policy, Publication Ethics, and other editorial policies before submitting a manuscript.

We welcome high-quality submissions that contribute to the responsible development, evaluation, and clinical application of digital health and medical artificial intelligence.
