JESA is an open-access journal. To support editorial, production, hosting, and preservation services, an article processing charge may be requested after a manuscript is accepted.

Current charges

• USD 400: research articles, review articles, case studies and applications, and interdisciplinary insights.
• USD 200: brief reports and short communications.

Waivers and discounts

Waivers or discounts may be considered for authors from low- and middle-income countries, early-career researchers, or authors experiencing documented financial hardship. Requests should be made as early as possible and do not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.

Payment and invoicing

• There is no submission fee.
• An invoice is issued after acceptance, not at the time of submission.
• Payment instructions and the applicable amount are confirmed by the editorial office.
