JESA provides immediate open access to its published articles. Readers can access the scholarly record online without a subscription or pay-per-view charge.

Licence

Articles are published under the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence. The licence permits copying, redistribution, and adaptation for non-commercial purposes with appropriate attribution and an indication of changes.

Author rights

Authors retain copyright and may share, reuse, and archive their work in accordance with the licence and the publication agreement. Authors should cite the JESA version of record whenever possible.

Access and preservation

There is no embargo period. JESA supports digital preservation and continued access to the journal's published content through its online publication and archiving practices.
