Global Review of Humanities, Arts, and Society (GRHAS) invites submissions for Volume 2, Issue 5, scheduled for publication in October 2026.

GRHAS is an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to advancing critical, creative, and theoretically informed scholarship across the humanities, arts, cultural studies, and related fields of social inquiry. The journal encourages work that crosses disciplinary, geographical, cultural, and methodological boundaries and that contributes meaningfully to contemporary and historical debates.

For Volume 2, Issue 5, GRHAS welcomes original research, theoretical interventions, critical perspectives, case-based scholarship, reflective practice, and other scholarly contributions that engage with significant questions in the humanities, arts, culture, and society.

Priority Research Areas

Submissions are particularly encouraged in, but are not limited to, the following areas:

• Digital culture, artificial intelligence, and the humanities
• Platform studies, algorithmic culture, and digital society
• Media, communication, and contemporary public culture
• Philosophy of technology and human agency
• Cultural industries, creative economies, and artistic production
• Visual culture, performance, and critical art studies
• Literature, narrative, language, and translation
• Cultural memory, heritage, archives, and public history
• Migration, mobility, borders, and transnational identities
• Postcolonial, decolonial, and global cultural perspectives
• Gender, embodiment, identity, and representation
• Social justice, activism, human rights, and cultural politics
• Environmental humanities, climate culture, and ecological thought
• Knowledge production, epistemic inequality, and academic institutions
• Technology, attention, convenience, and the transformation of everyday life
• Interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary social and cultural change

These areas represent current editorial interests rather than an exclusive scope. GRHAS also welcomes high-quality manuscripts addressing other topics that fall within the broader fields of the humanities, arts, cultural studies, and related social inquiry.

Authors should select the article type that most accurately reflects the purpose, methodology, and scholarly contribution of the manuscript.

Research-oriented submissions are subject to double-blind peer review. Other scholarly contribution types are evaluated according to the journal’s applicable editorial and review procedures.

Submission Requirements

Submitted manuscripts should:

• present original work that has not been previously published and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;
• demonstrate clear relevance to the scope of GRHAS;
• make a meaningful scholarly, theoretical, methodological, critical, or creative contribution;
• be written in clear, formal, and professional academic English;
• provide appropriate engagement with relevant scholarly literature;
• include a clear abstract and keywords where required by the selected article type;
• comply with the journal’s standards concerning authorship, academic integrity, research ethics, conflicts of interest, permissions, and responsible use of research materials;
• be anonymized where required for double-blind peer review.

Where applicable, manuscripts should include an abstract of approximately 150–250 words and 4–6 keywords.

Authors are strongly encouraged to consult the journal’s official Author Guidelines before preparing and submitting a manuscript.

Article Processing Charges

For manuscripts submitted under the journal’s standard research publishing categories, the current Article Processing Charge is USD 450, payable only after final acceptance.

Interdisciplinary and Global Perspectives

GRHAS strongly encourages scholarship that moves beyond narrow disciplinary boundaries.

We welcome comparative and cross-cultural work, studies involving non-Western intellectual traditions, multilingual or transnational perspectives, and research that challenges established assumptions within humanities and social inquiry.

Contributions from underrepresented academic regions and research traditions are particularly welcome where they contribute to the journal’s international and interdisciplinary mission.

Responsible Scholarship

All submissions must comply with accepted standards of publication ethics and scholarly integrity.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of citations, quotations, data, translations, images, and other research materials included in their manuscripts.

Where artificial intelligence or generative AI tools have been used in the preparation of a manuscript, authors should ensure that such use complies with the journal’s authorship, transparency, and academic integrity requirements. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, interpretation, and scholarly integrity of all submitted content.
