Collections organize published work around a shared scientific question, method or therapeutic area. They are intended to help readers follow related developments across issues and locate complementary evidence in cancer biology and therapeutics.

Selection and scope

A collection may focus on topics such as tumor–immune interactions, treatment resistance, patient-derived models, biomarkers or reproducible methods. Selection should reflect scientific relevance and the stated purpose of the collection. Inclusion does not imply that different studies have equivalent evidential strength or support a single clinical recommendation.

Articles selected from the journal’s archive retain their original publication dates, citations, licenses and links to any editorial notices. Placement in a collection does not create a second publication or alter the article’s scientific content.

New contributions

When a collection accepts new submissions, its call will specify the remit and any deadline. New research and review articles must satisfy the usual author requirements and undergo standard external peer review. A collection invitation does not guarantee publication. The standard APC of USD 350 applies to accepted articles unless an agreed waiver or discount is stated.

Reader access and editorial oversight

Collection pages should provide a clear description and links to the underlying articles. Selection and updates remain subject to editorial oversight, including disclosure of curator conflicts and appropriate independent handling of related submissions. No collection is listed on this page at present. Enquiries or proposals may be sent to the Editorial Office.
