Research and readership

It welcomes studies addressing tumor mechanisms, treatment response and resistance, biomarkers, precision oncology and methods that strengthen reproducibility. Its readership includes experimental and translational researchers, oncologists and specialists in pathology, pharmacology and computational cancer science. The full remit is set out in Aims & Scope.

Publication record and journal policies

Published issues and their article records are available through Archives. The journal is currently at its launch stage; the public archive does not yet contain published issues. Issue dates and article publication dates will form the authoritative publication record.

Authors should consult Author Guidelines, APCs and Publication Ethics before submission. Editorial and administrative enquiries should be directed through the official Contact page. Database coverage is reported separately under Abstracting & Indexing and is not implied by the journal’s access model.

Annual issue and rolling publication

The journal publishes one annual issue, formally released on 15 December each year. Accepted articles are published online on a rolling basis after editorial acceptance, production and author proof checks. Authors do not have to wait until December for their completed article to appear online. Each article retains its online publication date when included in the annual issue.

The annual issue date is a publication schedule, not a submission deadline or a guarantee that a particular manuscript will be accepted or published by that date.

Editorial review targets

Editorial stage Target timeframe
Initial editorial screening Within 7 working days of receipt of a complete submission
First decision following external peer review 6–8 weeks from receipt of a complete submission
Decision on a revised manuscript 2–4 weeks from receipt of a complete revision

These are editorial service targets, not measured performance statistics or guaranteed deadlines. Reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, additional review and research-integrity checks may extend assessment. The revision target excludes the time authors spend preparing their response. A first decision may request revision or decline the manuscript; it is not necessarily an acceptance decision. The journal does not promise a fixed submission-to-acceptance interval.
