Journal of Dance and Embodied Structure is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes scholarly research on dance, embodied knowledge, movement, choreography, performance, and the structural dimensions of the moving body.

The journal aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for the study of dance as an artistic, cultural, spatial, and embodied form of knowledge. It welcomes research that investigates how bodies move, organize, perceive, perform, remember, transmit, and produce meaning within different cultural, historical, social, technological, and aesthetic contexts.

The scope of the journal extends beyond dance as performance alone. It encourages studies that examine the body as a site of structure, expression, perception, discipline, creativity, and cultural negotiation. The journal particularly values work that connects theoretical inquiry with choreographic practice, performance analysis, movement observation, somatic experience, artistic research, and interdisciplinary methodologies.
