The standard article processing charge for GGSR is USD 350 per accepted article. The charge supports manuscript administration, production, online publication, and maintenance of open-access articles. It is requested after formal acceptance.

Editorial independence

No payment is required to submit a manuscript or obtain standard peer review. Rejected submissions do not incur an APC. Editors assess scope, scholarly contribution, evidence, and ethics independently of financial arrangements. Payment does not purchase acceptance, preferential review, or a particular decision date.

Invoicing and payment

After acceptance, the responsible payer receives official payment instructions. Authors should confirm the invoice details and the payer’s information before arranging payment through an institution, funder, or personal account. The invoice identifies the amount and any applicable taxes or disclosed charges. Third-party banking and currency-conversion costs may apply.

Where another currency is supported, the applicable conversion or settlement rate is specified through the official payment process. Authors should use the journal’s official channels and quote the manuscript or invoice reference so that payment can be matched to the accepted article. Questions about billing should be sent to [email protected], rather than to reviewers.

Waivers, withdrawals, and refunds

An approved waiver or discount must be confirmed in writing for the manuscript concerned. A special-issue invitation or proposed contribution does not establish an exemption. Authors needing assistance should consult Waivers & Discounts, preferably before an invoice is issued.

No APC is payable for withdrawal before acceptance. Report a duplicate or erroneous payment promptly with the relevant invoice and transaction reference, without sending unnecessary banking credentials. After publication, the APC is normally non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the circumstances. Post-publication corrections and integrity decisions remain independent of payment status.
