Authors are expected to submit manuscripts that demonstrate academic rigor, conceptual clarity, methodological appropriateness, and meaningful engagement with relevant scholarship.

General Requirements｜基本要求

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal, book series, conference proceeding, or publication platform at the time of submission.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with academic ethics, citation standards, copyright requirements, and all applicable research integrity policies.

Language｜语言

The journal accepts manuscripts written in English or Chinese. English is used as the primary language for international presentation, while Chinese is retained to support Chinese-speaking authors and readers.

For Chinese-language submissions, authors are encouraged to provide an English title, abstract, and keywords. For English-language submissions, a Chinese title, abstract, and keywords may be provided where applicable.

Each research article should include an abstract of approximately 150–250 words and 4–6 keywords.

Manuscripts should be prepared in a clear and consistent format. Authors should use standard fonts, readable line spacing, numbered pages, and consistent heading levels.

Authors must use a consistent citation and reference style throughout the manuscript. Contemporary Review of Political Thought follows the PSG Author–Date Citation Format, the official citation format of Panorama Scholarly Group.

PSG Format uses an author–date citation structure and is designed for humanities and social sciences scholarship, with specific requirements for DOI normalization, multilingual references, datasets, software, artificial intelligence tools, and reference integrity.

In-text citations should normally use the author–year form, such as “(Smith 2024)”. Where a specific page, section, or passage is cited, page numbers or other locators should be included, such as “(Smith 2024, 25)”.

Originality and Plagiarism｜原创性与抄袭

Submissions must be original and properly cite all sources. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, fabricated data, manipulated evidence, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

The editorial office may use plagiarism detection tools or other appropriate methods to assess the originality of submitted manuscripts.

Peer Review｜同行评审

Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening will be sent for peer review. The journal normally applies a peer-review process appropriate to the manuscript type and disciplinary field.

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts in response to editorial and reviewer comments. Final publication decisions are made by the editorial office based on scholarly quality, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, ethical compliance, and reviewer recommendations.

Where applicable, authors should include statements regarding funding, conflicts of interest, ethical approval, informed consent, data availability, and author contributions.

For manuscripts that do not involve human participants, personal data, sensitive materials, or funded research, authors may state “Not applicable” where appropriate.

Use of Artificial Intelligence｜人工智能使用

Authors must disclose any substantive use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of a manuscript, including but not limited to text generation, translation, data analysis, image generation, or language editing.

作者须披露在稿件准备过程中对人工智能工具的实质性使用，包括但不限于文本生成、翻译、数据分析、图像生成或语言润色。

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts.

Submission Process｜投稿流程

Authors should submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Before submission, authors should ensure that the manuscript is complete, properly formatted, anonymized where required, and accompanied by all necessary statements and files.

Incomplete submissions may be returned to authors before editorial review.

The editorial office reserves the right to decline manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s scope, fail to meet academic or ethical standards, or do not comply with the journal’s submission requirements.
