Forum｜理论论坛
Forum is a special scholarly section of Contemporary Review of Political Thought (CRoPT). It provides a platform for focused academic dialogue, theoretical debate, critical reflection, and timely scholarly engagement with significant questions in political thought, political philosophy, intellectual history, Marxist theory, education, governance, and modern public life.
理论论坛（Forum）是《当代政治思想评论》（CRoPT）的特别学术栏目。本栏目为政治思想、政治哲学、智识史、马克思主义理论、教育、治理及现代公共生活中的重要问题提供聚焦的学术对话、理论争鸣、批判性反思与及时的学术回应平台。
Unlike conventional research articles, Forum contributions may adopt a more concise, argumentative, dialogical, or responsive form. They may engage directly with emerging scholarly debates, recent publications, contested interpretations, public controversies, or unresolved theoretical questions. The section encourages intellectual exchange that clarifies disagreements, examines competing arguments, and develops new directions for inquiry.
与常规研究论文相比，论坛文章可以采用更加凝练、重视论证、强调对话或回应的写作形式，直接讨论新近学术争论、近期出版成果、存在分歧的理论解释、公共争议或尚未得到充分解决的理论问题。本栏目鼓励通过学术交流澄清分歧、检验不同论证，并探索新的研究方向。
A shorter or more argumentative format does not reduce the standards of scholarship. All Forum submissions should demonstrate conceptual clarity, coherent reasoning, appropriate engagement with relevant sources, academic integrity, and respect for substantive intellectual disagreement.
篇幅较短或更加突出论证性的文章形式，并不意味着降低学术标准。所有论坛来稿均应体现概念清晰性、论证连贯性、对相关资料的适当回应、学术诚信，以及对实质性学术分歧的尊重。
Scope of the Section / 栏目研究范围
The Forum section welcomes contributions that engage with significant theoretical questions, scholarly disagreements, and emerging discussions relevant to the journal's aims and scope. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

Contributions addressing contemporary events or public controversies should establish their relevance to political thought, political theory, intellectual history, governance, or the normative questions of public life. Timeliness alone is not sufficient: submissions should identify a substantive scholarly question and distinguish documented facts from interpretation, theoretical argument, and normative judgment.
涉及当代事件或公共争议的来稿，应明确其与政治思想、政治理论、智识史、治理或公共生活规范性问题之间的学术联系。议题的时效性本身不足以构成学术贡献；稿件应提出实质性学术问题，并区分有文献或证据支持的事实、解释性判断、理论论证及规范性评价。
Types of Forum Contributions / 论坛文章形式
Forum Contributions may take different scholarly forms depending on the purpose, argumentative structure, and subject of the discussion. The following forms are welcomed within the Forum category:
论坛文章可根据讨论目的、论证结构及研究议题采用不同的学术表达形式。Forum Contributions 类别下欢迎以下文章形式：
- Forum Essays 论坛论文：围绕明确的理论问题或学术争论提出独立论证。
- Critical Commentaries 批判性评论：对特定概念、论点、著作或学术解释展开有依据的批判性分析。
- Debate Articles 争鸣文章：针对具有实质分歧的理论立场提出论证、质疑或替代性解释。
- Response Articles 回应文章：对既有论文、评论、理论主张或学术争论作出直接回应。
- Roundtable Contributions 圆桌讨论文章：围绕共同议题呈现具有明确论点的学术讨论。
- Symposium Essays 专题讨论文章：针对特定思想家、著作、概念或理论问题展开专题分析。

These forms describe the intellectual purpose and presentation of a Forum contribution; they do not constitute separate journal-wide manuscript categories. Authors should select the appropriate Forum Contributions category in the journal's submission system and indicate the intended form of their contribution where relevant.

Submission Format / 投稿形式与稿件准备
Forum manuscripts should identify the question, controversy, or scholarly debate being addressed, present a focused argument, and explain their contribution to the relevant discussion. Where a submission responds to a particular book, article, argument, or published commentary, the work under discussion should be identified accurately and cited appropriately.
论坛稿件应明确所讨论的问题、争议或学术争论，提出聚焦的论证，并说明其对相关学术讨论的贡献。对于回应特定著作、论文、理论观点或已发表评论的稿件，应准确说明讨论对象，并作出适当引用。
Length and Abstract / 篇幅与摘要
The journal's general recommended length for Forum Contributions is 2,000–5,000 words for English-language manuscripts. Chinese-language submissions may follow a corresponding length appropriate to their content and scholarly form. Forum manuscripts require a concise abstract of no more than 150 English words, according to the section-specific submission requirement.
本刊对英文论坛文章的一般建议篇幅为 2,000–5,000 词。中文稿件可根据内容与学术表达形式采用相应篇幅。按照本栏目现行专项投稿要求，论坛稿件须提供简明摘要，英文摘要不超过 150 词。
Argument and Scholarly Sources / 学术论证与资料使用
Contributions should establish a clear argumentative focus, define key concepts where necessary, and engage with the literature or evidence relevant to their claims. Authors are encouraged to distinguish the position being examined from their own interpretation or criticism and to address significant objections or alternative explanations when appropriate.
稿件应具有明确的论证重点，在必要时界定核心概念，并回应与主要论点相关的学术文献或证据。作者应区分讨论对象原有的理论立场与自身的解释或批评，并在适当情况下回应重要反对意见或替代性解释。
Concision and Academic Presentation / 简明表达与学术规范
Forum articles may be more concise and less formally structured than standard research articles, provided that the organisation of the text remains coherent and the scholarly contribution is identifiable. They should not be presented as informal opinion pieces, promotional statements, or unsupported polemics. The strength of a Forum contribution lies in the clarity, relevance, and defensibility of its argument rather than in length alone.
与标准研究论文相比，论坛文章可以采用更加简洁的篇幅与相对灵活的结构，但文章组织仍应保持逻辑连贯，学术贡献也应能够明确识别。稿件不应写成非正式意见文章、宣传性声明或缺乏依据的论战性文本。论坛文章的价值主要体现在论证的清晰性、相关性及可辩护性，而非单纯取决于篇幅长短。
Authors should also follow the journal's applicable requirements concerning manuscript preparation, references, originality, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and research integrity. The Forum format does not exempt a submission from relevant publication ethics or editorial requirements.
作者亦应遵守本刊适用的稿件准备、参考文献、原创性、利益冲突披露及研究诚信要求。采用论坛文章形式，并不意味着可以免除相关出版伦理或编辑规范。
Editorial Expectations / 编辑要求与学术标准
Manuscripts submitted to this section should demonstrate theoretical relevance, conceptual precision, argumentative clarity, and constructive engagement with existing scholarship. Contributions should make clear which arguments are being supported, questioned, revised, or rejected and should provide reasons appropriate to the nature of their claims.
投稿至本栏目的稿件应体现理论相关性、概念准确性、论证清晰性，以及与既有学术研究的建设性对话。作者应明确说明其支持、质疑、修正或反对的具体论点，并根据相关主张的性质提供适当的论证依据。
Scholarly Disagreement and Academic Conduct. The section welcomes robust criticism, competing interpretations, and substantive theoretical disagreement. Criticism should address arguments, evidence, methods, or conceptual assumptions rather than personal characteristics or unsupported allegations concerning individuals. Contributions must avoid defamatory statements, discriminatory language, misleading representations of opposing arguments, and personal attacks.
学术分歧与学术行为。本栏目欢迎有充分论证的批评、竞争性解释及实质性理论分歧。学术批评应聚焦论点、证据、方法或概念前提，而非针对个人特征或缺乏依据地指控他人。来稿不得包含诽谤性陈述、歧视性语言、对不同立场的误导性呈现或人身攻击。
Forum Contributions may undergo editorial assessment, external peer review, or a combination of both, depending on their scholarly content, purpose, and form, in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Policy. Editorial consideration remains based on scholarly merit, relevance to the journal's scope, originality, ethical compliance, and the quality of argumentation.
根据本刊《同行评审政策》，论坛文章可依其学术内容、写作目的及稿件形式接受编辑评审、外部同行评审或两者结合的评审程序。编辑评议依据稿件的学术价值、与期刊范围的契合度、原创性、伦理合规性及论证质量作出。
The Forum section seeks to support serious intellectual exchange across different theoretical traditions and scholarly positions. It provides space for researchers to test arguments, reconsider established assumptions, respond to scholarly criticism, clarify conceptual disagreements, and formulate questions that may stimulate further investigation.
理论论坛旨在支持不同理论传统与学术立场之间严肃而持续的思想交流，为研究者检验论证、重新审视既有理论前提、回应学术批评、澄清概念分歧及提出能够推动后续研究的问题提供空间。
Through the Forum section, CRoPT aims to foster critical, open, and intellectually responsible debate on the questions shaping political thought and contemporary public life. The section seeks to enrich scholarly discussion by bringing differing perspectives into sustained dialogue and by supporting arguments that challenge, refine, or extend existing knowledge.
CRoPT 希望通过理论论坛推动有关政治思想与当代公共生活重要问题的批判性、开放性及负责任的学术讨论，促进不同观点之间持续而深入的对话，并支持能够质疑、修正或拓展既有知识的学术论证。
