7. Plagiarism and Similarity Screening / 查重与相似度检测

English Manuscripts Screened via Turnitin. The similarity index must be less than 20% before peer review.
Chinese Manuscripts Screened via CNKI. The similarity index must be less than 20% before peer review.

Similarity screening is used as part of the journal’s research integrity checks. A low similarity score does not automatically guarantee compliance, and a manuscript may still be returned or rejected if it contains plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate paraphrasing, citation manipulation, fabricated references, or undisclosed reuse of previously published material.

9. Editorial Screening / 编辑初审

After submission, the editorial office conducts an initial screening. A manuscript may be returned to the author or rejected without external review if it does not meet minimum standards.

  • The manuscript is outside the aims and scope of JLPCS.
  • The research question, argument, method, or contribution is not sufficiently clear.
  • The manuscript is incomplete or does not follow the journal’s formatting requirements.
  • The manuscript has not been properly anonymized for double-blind review.
  • Required ethics, consent, data, funding, conflict of interest, or AI-use statements are missing.
  • The language quality prevents reliable academic evaluation.
  • The similarity report indicates possible plagiarism, duplicate publication, or inappropriate textual reuse.

10. Peer Review Process / 同行评议流程

JLPCS operates a double-blind peer review process. Author and reviewer identities are concealed during review. Each manuscript that proceeds to review is normally evaluated by at least two independent experts.

The typical review period is approximately 6-8 weeks. The actual timeline may vary depending on manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, revision rounds, editorial workload, and production arrangements.

本刊采用双盲同行评议。进入评审程序的稿件通常由至少两名独立专家评审。典型评审周期约为 6-8 周,实际时间可能因稿件复杂程度、审稿人安排、修改轮次和编辑工作量而有所不同。
